On Friday we went with our family to the Draper Utah Open House. What a beautiful place to be. It is spectacular! Candace and I were checking out the fabrics on the furniture and the draperies and noticing the architectural details throughout. And the artwork is so very beautiful. It was like being at a gallery. This temple is smaller than what we are used to. Each room seems to me to be about half the size of Mt. Timp for example. It creates a feeling of coziness and comfort, as if you could spend the day enjoying the feeling of the Spirit.It is much closer than I thought, only about 20 miles. We are excited for it's dedication (March 20-22) and then to be able to attend. What a blessing to have 3 temples so very close to our home. This Temple marks the 12th Temple in Utah, with the Oquirrh Mt. Temple soon to be completed (open house June 1-August 1) making 13. Brigham Young nailed it with his famous "This is the place". Now it's our responsibility to go often and do the work.
