Viva! Las Vegas

I'm home from my whirlwind buying trip. This year we tried Las Vegas again. It keeps growing and we haven't been to this market for three years. They have two new buildings since we last attended. We usually go to Atlanta but it is so long, usually 6 days. With Vegas so close we were able to cut it down to three days (3 sleepless days). We crammed as much as we possibly could into those 3 days, both work and fun. I got the majority of Christmas and Halloween bought along with some fresh and edgy everyday looks for the store coming now.

As grueling as the demands are for buying trips, my bosses always do something awesome for me. They are very generous and know how to keep me happy. This time...We went to Ka (Cirque du Soeil ) and then dinner at Wolfgang Puck's. One word, AMAZING!

sample itinerary-
* 6:00 a.m.: wake up, get ready, breakfast, etc.
* 8:00 a.m.: leave to market
* work, work, work. buy, buy, buy. laugh, laugh, laugh (we make our own entertainment - if you've got to work, it might as well be fun:)
* repeat.
* through out the day -take off shoes whenever possible and complain that I wore heels:(
* 6:ish: leave market and catch a cab
* 7:ish : dinner (always yummy)
* 10:ish : back to hotel (which my suite was so beautiful)
discuss what was bought, how to merchandise, what game plan for next day is, etc..
* Midnightish: bedtime.
* Repeat for as many days as necessary.

Like I said, grueling, but also very fun.

I've slept the last 12 hours trying to catch up on my zzz's and am now pouring over all the paperwork to organize the thousands of seasonal items that will start arriving in June. That's retail:)

Go ahead and complain, but that sounds like so much fun to me. You get to spend other peoples money! If you ever need a sub, you know where to look...
