Faith in Every Footstep

Today I am grateful for the courage and faith of the Mormon pioneers. They endured much hardship to gain religious freedom of which I now enjoy. I have been on a "mock" pioneer trek and it was no fun. Inspiring, and a humbling experience, but no fun. It was dry, hot, dusty, physically and emotionally challenging, and no bathrooms or diet coke along the way. As much as I love history and old and antique things, I am grateful for ALL the modern conveniences. So today my bonnet is off to all those resolute and steadfast saints who had the faith to obey in the face of persecution so that I may belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
